Degallery presents artist Cindy Malota and her first solo exhibition featuring a lifetime of creative expression in various mediums featuring a variety of subjects.
Cindy is inspired by the kindness she sees around her, the beauty found in nature, the tenderness expressed by loved ones in special moments and how light can make things sparkle.
As a child, Cindy dreamed of being an artist and loved to make special drawings , cards or garments to be given as gifts to family and friends. She just knew that one day she would be an artist.
Her art education began with a community education oil class while in college. It was then she realized just how much art touched her soul and that she was made to create.
For the past fifty years Cindy has studied numerous mediums with some amazing teachers. Realizing that each medium has characteristics that she is drawn to and characteristics that are not her favorite. Every teacher brought and shared a wealth of experience which helped Cindy improve.
Cindy feels that she has learned so very much from all these opportunities and has been encouraged by the kindness of many. She no longer says “I want to be an artist when I grow up”. She feels she is grown and now is an artist.
