“An interactive art exhibit all about Birds” by Wendy Wright. The National Audubon Society’s recent climate report found that over half of the bird species in North America are at risk of extinction. Birds have long been an inspiration for many. Throughout history, birds have been observed in art and symbolized a variety of ideas in stories, poems, and literature. Sadly, if we don’t take action now, natural history museums and art may be the only available place where we can continue to see our avian friends. Let’s work together to stop declining populations and ensure that generations to come can continue to observe and be inspired by birds and all their beauty, in nature. This exhibit was created with the intention that viewers can interact with each painting to learn facts about the birds they are viewing, along with some of the things they can do to help birds adapt to our changing planet.
