Heiley E. Herrera, Ph.D. and Texas A&M alum, describes herself as a self-directed water-media artist. Her pieces are mostly influenced by nature & landscape and her style is vibrant & bright with a wonderful sense of spontaneity. She has developed her watercolor batik painting style by incorporating optical color mixing with many layers of wax & watercolor that create a look of impressionism. She has extensive watercolor instruction experience through many local institutions, and internationally with her contributions to DEGA International Art Association.
