International Kids Art Contest
“Happy DEGART 2020”
We are finishing processing and sorting children’s artworks.
This year we have received over 300 artworks. We will show all the children’s artworks in an online art show. You will be able to see the online exhibition after November 17, 2020 on the DEGALLERY website.
The first round of the competition will run from November 1 to November 4. In the first round, the judges (Visual Art Society of Brazos Valley and DEGA International Art Association) will select the best artworks (from 50 to 70 best works), which will then be exhibited in the DEGALLERY from November 10 to December 24.
The exhibition will be open to the public until December 23 at DEGALLERY, Texas, USA.
After November 4 we will inform you if your artwork was selected in the first round for the exhibition.
The final round will run from November 10 to November 15.
The winners, runners up and 3rd places will be determined by the judges of Visual Art Society of Brazos Valley and DEGA International Art Association in the following categories:
Ages 4 through 6, ages 7 through 10, and ages 11 through 17.

All prizes and diplomas will be sent to the winners by mail to the home address or the address of the art studio representing the artwork. Also, winners will be able to pick up their prizes personally from the gallery and enjoy the exhibition from November 17 to December 20.
National and International shipping of prizes and will begin on January 4, 2021.
Registration for participation in the HAPPYDEGART 2021 competition will begin in February 2021. Please do not postpone registration and submission of works until the last day. Please send your artworks in advance and do not forget to include a correctly completed registration form.
Requirements
- Artists must be 4 through 17 years of age to enter the contest.
- Main theme is “Traveling around the world”
- All contestants will be judged on their original style and artistic value.
- There is no theme to the drawing contest. Draw or paint what you feel represents your original style and artistic value.
- Drawings must be original and authentic.
- Any medium is accepted: pencil, charcoal, watercolor, oil, etc. PLEASE NOTE: Pastels or charcoal entries must be properly sprayed to prevent smearing.
- Photographs and computer-generated artwork will not be accepted.
- Signatures or initials must appear on the front of the artwork, be no larger than 1” x 1.5” and be located in one of the two lower corners. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and title of the drawing. Please also make sure you sign the drawing with your original signature. All drawings without a signature, title (name of drawing), and age will be automatically disqualified!
- Only one entry per student will be permitted.
- Also any copied or traced drawings, paintings, etc. will be disqualified. We only accept original drawings and paintings.

Prizes
- Prizes will be awarded in each category: Ages 4 through 6, ages 7 through 10 and ages 11 through 17.
- All winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mentions) will receive a Certificate of Award, a ribbon, and additional prizes (scholarship, cash and gift cards prizes)
- All winners will be participate in Art Show at Degallery from October 10 to November, 2020.
