Stone, Sky, Wood, Water: New Landscape Photographs of Mark Sadoski Mark Sadoski grew up in New England marveling at landscape photographs in National Geographic, Arizona Highways, and Popular Photography. He built a formal background in art through private lessons, high school courses, and college courses. After experimenting with black & white film photography and darkroom work in college, he moved on to a color slide competition. He was inspired by meeting the great landscape photographer Ansel Adams at an exhibition of Adams’ work. Since then, he has focused his lens mostly on majestic landscapes in the canyon country of the West, but more recently in the idyllic forests and meadows of the Northwest and the Southeast. Mark continues to learn through digital photography workshops with contemporary masters including Bob Krist, Jack Dykinga, Tom Till, John Shaw, Daniel Beltra, and others. His work has regularly appeared in galleries and earned awards in juried competitions in different states.
