"Visions of the Southwest" by Mark Kieran
Visions of the Southwest is a collection of simple yet visually striking and vibrant landscapes, inspired by my time spent wandering the backcountry of New Mexico, West Texas, Southern Colorado, and Arizona. Camping mainly in National Forest Areas and places that are off the beaten track, I’ve had the privilege of being able to spend extended periods of time in some truly magical places.
About the Artist
Mark Kieran is a self-taught, visionary, and surrealist artist currently residing in Eddy Tx. Born November 22, 1969, in Framingham Ma. He spent his childhood first on Martha’s Vinyard Island and later in Colorado and was drawn to art from a very early age. After years of working first in ranching in Colorado and then in construction and house painting in Texas, he decided to try painting on canvas. Over the years, he has explored techniques and honed his skills, and his painting has evolved into more colorful and spiritual themes often an expression of his philosophy, visions, ideas, and love of nature.
Kieran’s desire is that his art will resonate within the viewer and bring a visual element to concepts that encourage peace, unity, and love.
