Soap Making Laboratory
Soap Making Laboratory (1-week workshop), from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday (for teens 10+ and adults)
Explore a hobbyist crafting approach, artisan soap crafter, Renee Britten of Cast Iron Soaps, will instruct over a cumulative five-day course the understanding of soap chemistry and exploring various soapmaking methodologies. We will cut soap on the final day.
* Request that students bring a protective long sleeve pullover; e.i. a worn sweatshirt, wear long pants + closed toe shoes for lye protection. In addition, eye wear protective gear; goggles or face shield, is recommended for laboratory experiments.
Students will take home their handmade creations. Additional course soap bars can be purchased.
