Nami Kimura : Flute
Nami Kimura was born in Kyoto, Japan. She received her Bachelor of
Music from the Kyoto City University of Arts. She also studied with
Trevor Wye at “The Studio” in England for two years. Currently a
resident of College Station, Texas. She is a member of the Brazos Valley
Symphony Orchestra, nemeaWinds and Brazos Breeze Flute Choir.
Miguel Sousa : Piano
Miguel Sousa grew up in Setubal, Portugal. He completed a Bachelor of
Music in Piano Performance at Evora University. He has received a
Masters degree in Piano Performance from Central Michigan
University. Miguel currently serves as the accompanist for Texas A&M’s
Century Singers and Women’s Chorus. He also collaborates with Brazos
Chorale. He is the music director at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Nami and Miguel performed together for the Texas A&M University
Women’s Chorus in December 2015. That led them to collaborate again.
They gave their first duo recital in May 2016.
